The first book in the Camel Club Series by Baldacci. I was truly excited reading another book by the same author; Baldacci is a proven-complicated-thriller-writer, an alumnus of VCU with political science degree and the law degree from UVA. Many things in common with this not-so-present writer; I personally thought, but his books are just so my type and extraordinary! Thanks for his writing to keep my mind intact!
Unlike other his books, this prologue is unique which is about terrorists and its group. The secretary of intelligence, Carter Gray (bad, later resigned due to Oliver), Alex Ford(later Camel Club(CC) honorary member, good), the Secret Service agent, his investigative work team partner Jackie Simpson (sadly she is Stone's forgotten daughter Beth, later she dies; great twist)....
Caleb Shaw(CC member) held 2 doctorates in political science and 18th century literature and Milton Farb(CC member), a child mathematics prodigy, formal employee of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has funny way of OCD and a strong, (but useful in the end) paranoia complex. Kate, a girlfriend of Alex was a Department of Justice lawyer. The profession comes handy later.
The CC leader Oliver Stone sort of jeopardized Alex's career, but in the end they solved together the horrendous crimes of Captain Jack and his terrorist group and Tom Hemingway, a mole inside of NIC( ). The terrorist group has planned the kidnapping of the US President Brennan very preciously. At the same time, some related relevant murder of Patrick Johnson, who was to alter some members of Captain Jack's terrorist group in NIC. After witnessing of the shocking murder, the CC members all unraveled the mysteries coolly and rescued the President. So cool Sherlock Holmes Baldacci! You've gotten a 5-star again from me!
