#31. Stone Cold by David Baldacci

by Eun 은령 2014. 2. 7.

February 6, 2014-Feb 9, 2014 read. Post 9/11, intelligence.

Just as cool as all Baldacci's so far. All of his usual protagonists; Reuben(Formal Defense Intelligence Agency Agent), Caleb, Milton, Annabelle Conroy, Alex Ford, of course Oliver Stone the leader of the Camel Club are there! However, any books in the Camel Club series could still be standalone book, which is the beauty. It's the third book of the series. I simply love it!

A former Navy SEAL Harry Finn is consumed by the revenge for the parents. I feel so bad for Finn, such an awesome and ideal man! Nevertheless the revenge cannot be justified with any means; in my opinion.

I am mesmerized by its character. Finn is great at the calculated precision work with speed and accuracy. He is a subcontractor of the Homeland Security as well as a serial killer sadly.

Jerry Bagger is the worst kind man with a mean streak, anyone could ever guessed. He is the owner of Pompeii Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. The Justice Department was interested in arresting Bagger, but they didn't have enough evidence for any charges.

There were some humor/fun that Milton counts cards at a blackjack and some theories of gambling. It sounds interesting for someone with the mathematics background, although I probably never play any gambles anyway.

This book is mostly about Anabelle and her revenge and some on Finn's. Both separate revenges are mainly done with the Club's cooperative mission. Most of the truth came out at the end overwhelmingly, with unexpected deaths of many innocent people as well as armed force.

Made me think about the life and honor.

More and more, I value them, as people in high up didn't seem to have; just in the books hopefully.

As usual, I truly enjoyed the book! I could totally be absorbed into!

I would like to own the book someday. Note to Myself: Carter Grey: Formal Director of CIA, A 5-star rating from me! Excellent job again Baladacci~
